Your home ages as all things do, it needs new paint just like new cloths, new roof is like a new hat, it makes your home healthier, to stand up to the out side elements, and its easy to see when it's time for that new paint. The inside of your home needs it to, some you can see and some you can't, it's the things you can't see that can give you the biggest headaches.
Wires in the walls can age with time, wires run to all lights and electric heat. Switches have moving parts and will ware out, and should be watched out for, a loose wire can cause heat to the point of starting a fire. This is one of the reasons that a home inspection is done at the time of a house being sold and having a home inspection is a good thing to have done, just like going to the doctor is.
Plumbing in the walls can ware out, pipe made of cast iron that run and down the walls can go bad and under concrete floors. Most cast iron pipe can last a 100 years, have gone bad as quick as 40 or 50 years.
This is cast iron pipe, installed in the 70s. The house had a sewer scope done for a home sale, it was under the concrete floor and is a good reason to have a sewer inspection done.
I talk to one of the neighbors and it had happen to more then one of the homes. and all we can come up with is that the pipe was made poorly and or the ground soil made it rust out.
" It's the thing's you can't see that will cost you the most,"
But having the doctor making a house call for your house. it's still a go thing to do for your house. and your wallet. If you know that some things good bad be for it brakes, it gives you time to plan on getting it fixed. If you have any questions email me at sewerwork@gmail.com THANK'S.
